I should really try to post regularly. These long ones are getting out of hand. Anyways, here are a few photos of us screwing around.
Okay, I wasn't screwing around in this one. This is how it looks like from the roof of our dormitory. Yeah, it looks this gloomy almost everyday. I'm starting to forget how the sky, sun, and moon looks like. Oh, here we hang up our clothes to dry (no dryers). |
Sichuan University's Field Day
Here's the Hmonggle looking all cute and stuff. Just kidding, he's a half-blood, but that's okay. |
Yeah, we all had to wear this ugly color. It wasn't the prettiest outfit, but it was free and worth some 80 dollars. This is where tuition money goes. |
Just standing in line waiting to be thrown out onto the field. Of course, the foreigners stuck out. We were just there for show, except for me because I'm a Chinese. |
Sturdy looking fellas. We tried waving to them too, but of course they won't wave back. |
Luodai Village
They told us this was an ancient Hakka town. The Hakkas are a subgroup of the Han. It was a very touristy place as you'll see in the pictures. |
I wanted to try this, but of course, there is no way that little cart and old man can hold my 300Kg. |
Opera. Very, very old school stuff. |
Here's a close-up. |
I can see why people would ride these. They're so pretty. |
This made me cringe. Think I'll stick to my chicken. |
The love bed. Just like in the movies. |
My dumb foreigner friend said 'confession box.' Oh gosh, I almost died. |
Where the mom and dad sits and orders their kids to do their bidding. |
When you're blue, just find a roof to sit and think to yourself. Or something like that. Okay, but in all seriousness, wth is that guy supposed to be? |
How does my hand smell? Nasty. This photo makes me laugh so hard. |
These rocks are outrageous. I mean, they're already cool enough, No need for all the metal. |
Tourist shops. Plus the minion balloon in the middle. |
Entrance to a wall similar to the Great Wall, but smaller and in the south. |
Some of these horses were so underfed that you could see their ribs. Not the cheeriest part. |
Let the pilgrimage begin. I swear it really is a pilgrimage at these attractions with the sheer number of people. |
You know... when you're on the wall and just suddenly get that urge to play pingpong or practice your archery. They have everything ready just in case. |
It was pretty tiring and everyone gave up before reaching the end sadly. |
