Huangguoshu Waterfall

The last destination on our list was Huangguoshu Pubu. This place is well known by the Chinese and is one of the largest waterfalls in China. They also did a Monkey King movie here a long time ago, so they have statues of monkeys, the master, and the three disciples along one of the falls (as you'll see below). Since it's spring time, the water is pretty low, but apparently it becomes massive in the summer. The place is beautiful and we had a little fun climbing up one of the smaller falls. For the largest fall, there's a path underneath the falls that people can walk through.

The Monkey King and his monkey followers.

Pig (Bajie)... doing his thing.

They had stepping stones for everyday of the year and a historical figure that was born on that date. Apparently, I share the same birthday as Sun Yat-sen: the founding father of modern China.

Supposed to be a lion.

I think these people were also Miaozu. There were quite a few selling stuff on the side.

Probably won't make it to the big falls with that one.

There was also a random cave along the way. The cave was pretty big, but they had a bunch of colored lights lighting up the side of the caves (which I'm not a huge fan of, but is pretty popular).

This is the biggest of the falls.

Going under.

We're back in Guiyang, and this was a small part of the city. Supposed to be an old town.

I don't know if you can see him... but the Monkey is coming.

Yeah, probably not...

Reminded me of what we used to make all the time, but it was no where as good as ours.
